Welcome To:

New York's Finest Blues / Rock Band
2018 JSJBF International Blues Competition Champions.

This page is coming to you from NYC in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

The year 2021 is a particularly poignant year for the Shadetree Mechanics.

Due to the pandemic and all the trouble it caused we were unable to perform, or even see each other.

To top it off, we lost our brother and band mate, Ray David Gwiazdowski.

Ray played with Shadetree Mechanics for about 26 years.

Taking over the drumming reigns from current lead vocalist, Mike "The rev" Rochelle, he brought power and a driving spirit to the band.

Whatever venue Shadetree Mechanics found themselves playing in Ray was there ready, willing, and raring to go.

During his tenure with the band, he and Shadetree Mechanics were inducted into the NY/NJ Blues Hall of Fame.

Another accomplishment Ray was very proud of was when the band won the New Jersey IBC (International Blues Challenge) competition,

and the band was sent to the Finals down in Memphis.

Ray was thrilled to play, compete, and meet musicians from the world over on Beale Street.

Shadetree Mechanics will continue to bring great music to our fans but a major piece of our heart will be missing.

Elmo, Mark, Pat, and Mike will always remember Ray and his contribution to the Shadetree Mechanics history.

RIP and play on Ray!

-- The Shadetree Mechanics --

When these guys lock into a bluesy groove they make you wanna "call yo' mama" and when they rock,

you can imagine yourself openin' up your Harley on a long stretch of open road headin' for the hills.

This band has been the runner up for JSJBF, Memphis Blues competition the last four years in row.

The band consist of guitarist, Redman. Bassist, Elmo John and drummer Ray G. and Pat G. on keyboards.

Rounding out this high energy band is The Rev (Mike Rochelle), originally from Chicago, now residing in New Jersey.

Playing a mix of standard and contemporary blues covers as well as original songs from their last two self produced C/D's.

If you haven't had a tune-up or oil change in a long, long , while. Dont miss this band at the festival this year.

They will get your motor running right.
